Doing this entertainment reporting thing until I got my best friend waiting poolside, scaring the shit out of me and sending me tripping, fully-clothed into the water because she wants to tell me she’s seen “the real thing” and I need to move on to cover the next big presidential race or international crisis.
Or they stand in the window and give me this face. Because I’ll know.

Double checking some names on my last post at IMDB.com and I noticed NiCole Robinson’s name, who portrayed Leo McGarry’s (nosy) secretary Margaret Hooper. My joy of seeing her name and the possibility of her involvement in this Funny Or Die sketch quickly faded after I realized the sketch would be missing one beloved member - John Spencer.

So I just wanted to take time out to remember Mr. Spencer and his tremendous work onThe West Wing. He and Martin Sheen had a friendship, a brotherhood between their characters that no one could touch.

Something is happening in the world of The West Wing today.

Josh Malina and Dule Hill joked on Twitter that it’s a movie. But come on. Hmmm.

Update: Turns out they’re at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library…allegedly shooting a Funnyordie sketch.

OMG if this is true, I cannot wait!! I’m absolutely loving this week of Sorkin-mania!

In the pilot of “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip,” it’s not that Aaron Sorkin has the media outlets name check the movie “Network” because Wes Mendell (Judd Hirsch) interrupts his live broadcast with a raving tangent similar to Howard Beale (Peter Finch). He knows the media wouldn’t take the time or have the knowledge to make any other comparison. Every outlet’s the same, they all tell the same story and they have no originality other than to copy what everyone else is doing.

A beautiful performance of #FieldsOfGold by #Sting on the sorely missed #Studio60ontheSunsetStrip.

And I always adored the love-hate relationship between Matt Albie and Harriet Hayes. Matthew Perry and Sarah Paulson always played these scenes wonderfully.
